About me
Two worlds, one craft.

I connect pixels with backend architecture. For 5 years I've worked where engineering meets design: at Ultra Studio I build brands and design systems, and as an engineer I write the .NET and React code that powers them. Design teaches me empathy and simplicity; code teaches me precision.

A concurrent venture that currently occupies my active life: a creative studio for high-end branding, web design and custom development.
- Selected work: Alumed (a premium aesthetic medicine clinic), Printly (a B2B print platform) and the full brand identity for Squizzu.
- Built Venor, an in-house lead generation platform that sources and qualifies prospects for branding studios.
- Built an autonomous AI crawling agent that auto-generates JSON-LD structured data to optimise client SEO.

A gamified IT learning and interview-preparation platform. I lead its product design, frontend architecture and development, from concept to production.
- Shaped the product architecture and translated early ideas into technical requirements, user journeys and frontend to backend contracts.
- Designed 100+ original responsive screens, custom icons and a consistent design system in Adobe XD, without using pre-made UI templates.
- Lead frontend development with TypeScript, React 19 and Next.js: accessible interfaces, dark mode and reusable components.
- Established an API-first integration workflow using OpenAPI/Swagger-generated TypeScript clients, and collaborate with the backend team on .NET 8 APIs, authentication and payments.
- Designed and implemented the gamification experience, including leaderboards, badges, progression systems and multiple learning modes.
- Integrated GPT-4o product agents with self-healing validation of malformed JSON.

Frontend and full-stack engineering for two e-commerce properties at Bunzl, a FTSE 100 distribution group. Delivered remotely to a Mexico-based team.
- Safetystore.mx (React, TypeScript, VTEX) won “Best New E-commerce” at Premios eCommerce MX 2024, Mexico's national e-commerce awards.
- Built a custom B2B management portal (React, Node.js) featuring a conversational text-to-SQL interface, letting sales staff query live data in plain language instead of waiting on reports. It saves the teams roughly 5 hours a week.

Software Developer · Northumbria University
Two years across three stages: a year-long industrial placement, part-time work through my final year of study, and a full-time return after graduating, on platform and identity work.
- Led the university's Website Development Service: 21 sites during the placement and 30+ in total, for researchers and for projects including OSCE, Physiotherapy Clinic and Aerospace.
- Worked out an Elementor-based solution that simplifies content population for editors, and wrote the guides and stakeholder support around it.
- Redesigned “NU Connect”, the university mobile app used by 40,000+ people: wireframes and a fully interactive prototype in Adobe XD, then implementation alongside the IT Services development team (XAML, C#, .NET, Xamarin, Azure Storage). The redesign lifted active users by 40%.
- Led the Xamarin to .NET MAUI migration of NU Connect.
- Managed identity models for 50,000+ university users in MS SQL Server and migrated services to Azure, running on Kubernetes.

Key projects
- Web app integrating the Google Maps, Twitter and Geonames APIs with Google OAuth 2.0 sign-in (PHP, JavaScript/jQuery), deployed to an Ubuntu VM on Microsoft Azure.
- Team-built task-entry software: from UML diagrams and Adobe XD mock-ups to a Java/JavaFX implementation.
- Comparative study of K-NN and SVM classifiers with PCA for handwritten digit recognition (MNIST), built as a MATLAB application.
JavaScript Full-Stack Online Bootcamp

Dissertation
“Implementation of Path Optimization Algorithm for the Optimal Number of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Used Within Goods Delivery”
An analysis and simulation answering a logistics question: how small a fleet of drones can complete a given set of deliveries within payload and battery limits, and how to route it without mid-air collisions. Deliveries are grouped with K-Means, visit order is solved as a Travelling Salesperson problem with Ant Colony Optimization, and collision-free routes come from Cooperative A* searching a space-time state of row, column, altitude and time against a shared reservation table. A* and Dijkstra are implemented as the baseline: they find shorter individual paths but fly the drones through each other, which is precisely what motivates the multi-agent variant.

Interactive OS
A web-based operating system as an alternative way to explore my portfolio. Windows, dock, menu bar, wallpapers, boot screen: a complete experience built component by component in React.
- Next.js
- React
- TypeScript

- Framer Motion
What's inside
- Full window manager with drag, edge resize, minimise and maximise, spring-animated by Framer Motion.
- macOS-style dock with icon magnification: cursor distance physically drives the scale and lift of each icon.
- 9 built-in apps, from live site previews in iframes to an experience timeline and contact, with sidebars and tabs.
- Menu bar with a live clock, right-click context menu with wallpaper picker, and a boot screen with a progress bar: details that sell the OS feel.
Internal tool
Venor
A private prospecting system I build for my own studio. It discovers companies from public sources, scores how well they fit a specific service and carries the work from a signal to the next action. It is not a product for sale: no users, no sign up, no billing.
- Playwright, Lighthouse and Claude run locally, as CLI scripts. The panel on Vercel gets a finished JSON file, so Chromium never boots inside a serverless function.
- Analytics and CRM state live in two stores, keyed by workspace, campaign and company. A re-export never wipes a day of work.
- Five dimensions, campaign weights validated to sum to 1, data confidence reported separately. A score can be explained, not just displayed.
- The audit PDF and CSV export are built in the browser: no endpoint, no job queue, no Chromium on the server.
Venor detects fit, need and timing signals. It does not know whether a company has a budget or intends to buy, so the decision to reach out is always made by a human.

Ultra Studio
The same bar we set for clients.
We crafted the studio's own brand and site with the same rigour as any client project. It's our best calling card.
Design that ships the same day.
Built in Framer: design decisions go live at once, without giving up control over detail or performance.
SEO that runs on autopilot.
An autonomous AI agent crawls client sites and generates their JSON-LD on its own: rankings driven by code, not manual busywork.
Squizzu is a platform I co-build from the first line of code to the last screen.
Before the first screen existed.
I turned the early ideas into technical requirements, user journeys and the contracts between frontend and backend. The product architecture was settled before the first line of code.
A brand and a design system from scratch.
The logo, the colour and component system, original icons and over a hundred responsive screens in Adobe XD. Not a single pre-made UI template.
Code on both sides.
The frontend in TypeScript, React 19 and Next.js: accessible interfaces, dark mode and reusable components. Underneath, .NET 8 with Aspire orchestration and CosmosDB on Azure.
Contracts kept honest automatically.
TypeScript clients generated from OpenAPI, automated quality gates and self-healing validation of the JSON returned by GPT-4o agents. Drift between the frontend and the API breaks the build before it can break a screen.
Learning that plays like a game.
Leaderboards, badges, progression systems and several learning modes: I designed and shipped the whole gamification layer. On it the platform grew from zero to over a thousand users.
