UX design + web development
Alumed
- Role
- UX design and front-end build

The problem
A premium aesthetic-medicine clinic needed a site that looks as exclusive as the practice itself, while loading instantly and staying easy for the team to edit. Those three pulls usually fight each other.
Context & constraints
- A premium practice: the site is the clinic's calling card, and the team has to be able to run it themselves, without a developer.
Design decisions
- The experience designed from scratch, no template.
- A premium clinic can't look like an off-the-shelf theme; the exclusive feel had to be bespoke.
- Lightweight, fully custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript on a tailored WordPress structure.
- A hand-written frontend keeps it loading fast, while WordPress underneath leaves the site editable for a non-technical team.
The solution
A bespoke, fast-loading site on a WordPress structure the clinic's team runs themselves.

Reflection
The whole craft was reconciling three forces that usually exclude each other: an exclusive look, instant loading and easy editing.
